WHO CAN USE SMOOTHSKIN?

SmoothSkin Bare FIT is suitable for people with skin type 1 to 4 according to the Fitzpatrick scale. Not suitable for use on blue, white, gray or red hair.

Because light blonde, gray, and white hair do not contain enough or no melanin at all, IPL treatment will not work on these hair types. Red hairs contain another type of melanin that also does not respond to IPL.

SmoothSkin Bare FIT is also not suitable for dark skin tones as it can cause skin damage such as burns, blisters or skin discoloration.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

SmoothSkin Bare FIT is designed to help break the hair growth cycle:

Light energy is transmitted through the surface of the skin and absorbs the melanin present in the hair shaft.

The absorbed light energy is converted into heat energy (below the surface of the skin) which prevents the hair follicles from growing further.

Treated hairs fall out naturally over a period that can vary from a few days to 1-2 weeks, depending on the individual.
